Photography Selfie

"Civilized Selfie"
Entry 4

As we can see in the 3 photos above, it shows a civilized selfies of mine. The first photo shows my selfie wearing my school uniform. The second photo shows my selfie wearing a formal suit. I took a selfie because I wanna see how'd I look when I dress up like this, feels like a superstar. The last photo shows my selfie, that was photo bombed by my lilttle sister, wearing my usual clothes when I'm at home.

"Uncivilized Selfie"
Entry 4.1

The 3 photos above shows an uncivilized selfies of mine. The first photo is a selfie of mine breaking an elevator pad in our condominium. The second photo is a selfie of mine with a dirty finger pose. The last selfie shows myself holding a kitchen knife, I looked like I'm threatening someone here.

In my opinion...
Selfie photo means taking a picture of yourself and the things that you are doing, using, eating, and many more. It comes from the root word self which means (according to Wikipedia), a subject of one's own experience of phenomena: perception, thoughts, and emotions. In a selfie photo, we usually see a person smiling, doing a pose, and sometimes holding or showing a thing that we recently use or did. It's not bad to post a selfie photo just make sure that you think first before you post.

Indie film

"Ligo na U, Lapit na me"
(Star-crossed love)
by Eros S. Atalia

Entry 3.1

- Eros S. Atalia

Ayon sa pinanood kong bahagi ng Word of the Lourd(WOTL): "Make your own Indie film" ni Lourd De Veyra, eto ang mga batayan ng pagiging indie film.
-May direktor na malalim mag isip
-May magulong camera angle
-Pangit na ilaw at tunog, ika nga niya raw
-Low budget
-May prostitute o chicks(girls)
-May subtitle

Elements of a film
by cineosphere.blogspot.com

There are five formal elements of film according to cineosphere.blogspot.com, to critically evaluate a movie. That five elements are: narrative, cinematography, sound, mise-en-scene, and editing. I will only choose 3 of these and relate it to the movie I choose which is "My Little Bossing".

Narrative
According to the blog, narrative is simply the ancient art form of storytelling. What a movie is about – its story, characters, and world – forms its narrative. The narrative is present as soon as a script is finished and before the production of the movie even begins. For example, literature is pure, unfiltered narrative.

Cinematography
According to the blog, cinematography is defined as “writing in movement” and depends largely on photography. The art of cinematography is concerned just as much with how something is being filmed as it is with what is being filmed. Cinematography is not a rudimentary and arbitrary process of filming the actors. The cinematographer, or director of photography, adds to and enhances the narrative through control of the camera.

Mise-en-scene
According to the blog, mise-en-scene is everything that appears in a frame. Sets, locations, actors, props, costumes, light, and shadow are all part of mise-en-scene. Mise-en-scene can be realistic or abstract, purely background or an interpretive active element. Mise-en-scene is contributed to by a variety of talents on the film crew – production designers, make up artists, set builders, cinematographers, actors – everything on screen in a film has been deliberately included at an artist’s direction and for a purpose.

In the movie "My little bossing", the story is about an accountant whose working for a wealthy lady which happens to be threatened by her envious sister. The wealthy lady asked her accountant to protect her son from her sister and in return she will gave 20 million as a reward. The film is good and serve its purpose especially to the eyes of the children. This movie is no different to the other "masa" films, but honestly speaking, some parts of the movie aren't that good enough, its like the script of the movie that hasn't been reviewed yet. But some parts are heart touching, especially when the family thing is shown.

Kargador ng buhay

"Kargador"

Oil on Canvas

Entry 1.1

Revelation

THE FALL OF THE REBEL ANGELS
Painted By: Pieter Bruegel the Elder

Entry 1

I was amazed by this work of Pieter Bruegel the Elder, A Flemish Renaissance painter. According to josephineboult, a writer from arslongavitabreve.com, this painting was an illustration of a specific passage in the book of Revelation. The passage came from Rev 12:7-9 "Then war broke out in heaven. Michael and his angels waged war upon the dragon."

The painting is made using an oil-on-panel. At the present time, the painting is located inside the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium, Brussels. There are different significant aspects that we can see on the painting. I will show pictures of every significant character on the painting to help us dig the meaning of it.

The Good Angel

The Great Battle

The Half Human Half Monsters

The Archangel Michael

The Fighting Rebels

The Monstrous Demons

The Fallen Angels

All of these are included in the painting, and each of them has a meaning. In my opinion, the painting focuses on the battle between good and evil, angels and demons. The fallen angel are the traitors and the rebels of the heaven. St. Michael, the archangel, is the leader of the good angels in the battle in Heaven.

I can consider this as an art because of its meaning and form. We can determine the figure representation of this as a war. The content of the painting are the soldiers of the good and evil, also it shows that those are good will always win in every war. At present time, we could see that this is happening in some areas. Not literally we could see angels and demons but we could see that there is a war. War between countries, war between religions, war between politics, and even war against ourselves.
